How do I open Crown Crates in The Elder Scrolls Online?

To open your purchased Crown Crates, follow the process for your platform below:

PC/Mac

  1. Navigate to the Crown Crates menu by pressing [F3].
  2. Select the crates you wish to open and press [E].

Xbox One

  1. Navigate to the main menu by pressing [Menu].
  2. Navigate to the Crown Crates option and press [A].
  3. Select the crates you wish to open and press [A].

PlayStation 4

  1. Navigate to the main menu by pressing [Options].
  2. Navigate to the Crown Crates option and press [X].
  3. Select the crates you wish to open and press [X].


Once opened, your new items will be automatically added to your inventory or collections, and any Crown Gems received will be added to your totals.

You can view your total Crown Gems from the Crown Crates menu or from within the Crown Store itself.
